Sudarshan DWC Pipes

DWC Pipes

Sudarshan Double Wall Corrugated (DWC) Pipes are HDPE pipes renowned for their versatility and durability in various applications. Whether it’s ducting cable networks, laying underground electrical conduits, or conveying sewage and wastewater, these pipes deliver exceptional performance. Made from high-quality HDPE material, Sudarshan DWC Pipes offer a life expectancy of over 50 years and come with added benefits like UV stability, non-flame propagation, anti-rodent properties, and weather resistance. Their lightweight and pliable nature ensures easy installation, making them ideal for projects that demand reliability and efficiency. Available in multiple sizes and colors, Sudarshan DWC Pipes meet the stringent standards set by IS 16205:2018 (for ducting cable) and IS 16098: 2013 (for sewage and drainage), ensuring they are a trusted choice for modern infrastructure needs.

What is Double Wall Corrugated Pipes

  1. Double wall corrugated (DWC) pipes are a good choice for underground sewerage systems because they are lightweight, strong, and easy to install. They are often made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic and can be used for non-pressure sewerage, drainage, and cross drainage. DWC pipes are also maintenance free and can last for years underground
  2. Pipes and fittings are manufactured using HDPE polymer. These pipes are resistant to various types of gases & chemicals which are generated due to putrefaction of various ingredients flowing in the system.
  3. DWC has a corrugated outer layer that provides crushing strength and a smooth inner layer that allows for easy passage of sewer water, cables, and conduits.
  4. Double Wall Corrugated Pipes (DWC) are for gravity and low-pressure sewerage and drainage, such as waste water, sanitary sewer and storm sewerage for municipal or industrial use. The pipes provide important benefits and distinct advantages for sewer and drainage applications.
  5. Double wall corrugated (DWC) pipes are a good choice for conduit pipes because they can protect electrical and telecom cables, and are more economical than other conduits. DWC pipes are made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a corrugated outer surface and a smooth inner wall. This design gives them additional strength and stiffness, and makes it easier to insert cables. DWC pipes are also resistant to corrosion, abrasion, and chemical degradation, and can withstand heavy loads when buried.
  6. Double Wall Corrugated Duct can withstand external heavy loads when back filled and properly buried. It is suited for usage as a casting duct/jacket in those environments where the direct placement of cabbies and ducts is not easy and safe.

Key Features of DWC

  • Maintenance free: Once installed, DWC pipes can last for years underground.
  • Resistant to damage: DWC pipes are resistant to damage from rodents and digging.
  • Chemical inertness: DWC pipes are immune to corrosive chemicals and biological ingredients.
  • Cost effective
  • Flexible and fatigue resistant
  • Excellent load bearing capacity and stiffness
  • Suitable for various climates
  • Corrugated profile bonds well with soil
  • Can be transported using telescopic equipment
  • Watertight joints
  • Rodent repellent
  • Flexible enough to adjust to obstacles during installation
  • Environment Friendly
  • Stronger than GI, RCC or PVC- solid wall pipes
  • Long life span
  • Easy to transport, handle and install due to light weight
  • Low installation Cost
  • Excellent Impact Strength
  • Flame retardant
  • Leak Proof
  • UV Resistant
  • Ability to withstand heavy external loads when properly buried
  • Easy jointing and installation

Double Wall Corrugated Pipe Features:

  1. Intensity and Stiffness (ability of enduring geographical conditions load): Because plastics embedded pipe is flexible pipe and it endures the press with the soil around in correct design and construct those plastics embedded pipe doesn ‘t need the same intensity and stiffness as rigid concrete drain pipe.
  2. Hydraulic features (ability of transporting liquid); In hydraulic features, plastics pipe’s resistance of fluid is less than concrete pipe because of its slippy inner surface. It’s proved by practice that smaller diameter plastics pipe can attain required the same flow rate than concrete pipe at the same slope. Plastics pipe can decrease the slope rate at the same diameter (decrease construction workload ).
  3. Sealability (no giveaway, prevent polluting environment); In sealability, Plastics pipes’ connection is credible. (flexible sealing ring bell and socket link).
  4. Long Lifespan (corrosion resistant, resistance to abrasion); Plastics pipe has many advantages in useful lifespan and corrosion resistant. Sewage and rainwater transported by embedded pipe is always aggressive, acidity or causticity. Sewage has powerful corrosiveness for example industrial water. Plastics embedded pipe has better inoxidizability than metallic conduit and concrete pipe. Plastics pipe’s abrasion resistance is better.
  5. Easily to install : Prominent advantage in installation: light weight, longer length (less connect), low require for pipe ditch and foundation, easy connecting and quickly constructing. Plastics pipe’s virtue is prominent in city’s crowded area and bad geological area (for example high ground water level and flaccid foundation).
  6. Comprehensive economical features: plastic embedded pipe’s virtue is being discovered in comprehensive economic level. The price of plastic embedded pipe is higher than concrete pipe. But it is approved by installation practices in domestic and international market in all projects cost of plastics embedded pipe was lower than concrete pipe if the design and construction is correct. The cost of double wall-corrugated pipe is as similar as concrete gripping pipe. Its price decreases 30%-40% than faucet concrete pipe. Double wall-corrugated pipe can reduce the construction period. Its economic feature is apparent.
